Sunjiv Mainie is Managing Director, Global Research & Design (EMEA) at S&P Dow Jones Indices (S&P DJI). In this role, Sunjiv leads the research team responsible for the conceptualization, research, and design of S&P DJI’s global strategies. His specialties include factor and thematic indices across asset classes.

Prior to joining S&P Dow Jones Indices in 2014, Sunjiv was portfolio manager at Proxima Alfa Investment Management, where he oversaw the firm’s quantitative equity program. Before that, Sunjiv was head of quantitative strategies at Trafalgar Capital Management and portfolio manager at JP Morgan Asset Management.

Sunjiv is a CFA charterholder, and holds the CQF and an MBA. He graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a BEng (Hons) in electrical and mechanical engineering.
