Hannah Skeates is Senior Director for Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Indices at S&P Dow Jones Indices (S&P DJI). Hannah is responsible for the strategic direction of S&P DJI’s ESG indices globally.
Prior to joining S&P DJI, Hannah held a number of senior roles at BlackRock and Barclays Global Investors (BGI) in London and San Francisco. Hannah’s roles included Global Head of iShares Sustainable Investments, Head of iShares EMEA Product Strategy, and Head of iShares EMEA Business Strategy. Hannah was part of the team that built the iShares ETF business from its beginnings.
Hannah has an MA (Hons) from Edinburgh University and is a Senior Associate of the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL), where she advised on the creation of the global industry member-led group, the Investment Leaders Group. This group focuses on developing and promoting concepts of sustainability within the asset manager and asset owner community. In addition, Hannah’s interests include the growth of fintech as an enabling force in individuals’ financial lives.It is now three years since the historic events at the UN Climate Conference in Paris in December 2015.
