Director, U.S. Equity Indices, S&P Dow Jones Indices
Algreen Bakasa is Director, U.S. Equity Indices at S&P Dow Jones Indices (S&P DJI). In this role, he is responsible for the product management and strategic direction of S&P DJI’s U.S. equity index suite, including flagship benchmarks such as the S&P 500® and The Dow®. Algreen provides key insights and thought leadership on U.S. equity indices, collaborating with asset managers, investment banks and asset owners to support their index-based strategies. Working closely with S&P DJI’s Global Research & Design, Sales, and Marketing teams, Algreen helps drive innovation by bringing new indices to market.
Prior to joining S&P DJI in 2025, Algreen was Vice President, iShares ETF Product Development at BlackRock, where he led the design, launch and enhancement of globally listed iShares ETFs. Before that, he spent almost eight years at Vanguard, holding roles in Corporate Strategy, ETF Model Portfolios and Sales.
Algreen holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Finance, cum laude, from Temple University’s Fox School of Business.
